How to Become Who God Designed You to Be (Even When Life feels Stuck)
Share
Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything “right” but still feel stuck? You’re probably not alone.
You’re praying.
You’re trying to grow.
You’re showing up—even when it’s hard.
Yet you still feel stuck.
That feeling isn’t failure.
It’s often a sign that you’re in the process of becoming who God designed you to be.
Feeling Stuck Doesn’t Mean You’re Falling Behind
On the outside, it looks like nothing is happening, but on the inside is where God is doing his best work.
Sometimes growth looks like:
- Waiting when you want action
- Being quiet when you want to speak up
- Letting go when you want control
Feeling stuck doesn’t mean God stopped working. It often means He’s working "beneath the surface". He's working on the inside.
God doesn't rush transformation—because rushing would rob you of the strength you need for where you’re going. He has to strengthen your wings.
God Wants You to Trust the Process
We often focus on the destination and forget the design.
Scripture reminds us:
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10
The word *workmanship* means intentional craftsmanship. Nothing about your life is random—not the delays, not the detours, not even the discomfort.
God’s design for you isn’t just about who you’ll become—it’s also about "how" you’ll become.
And that process shapes your character, not just your outcome.
Becoming Feels Uncomfortable, and here's why
Becoming who God designed you to be often feels uncomfortable because it requires shedding versions of yourself that no longer fit.
This might mean:
* Outgrowing old habits
* Releasing relationships that kept you small
* Letting go of fear-based decisions
* Breaking cycles that once felt familiar
Growth doesn’t always feel good—but it is good.
The tension you feel right now might be the stretching required to step into something greater.
My Personal Testimony: Learning to Trust the Process
There was a season in my life when everything felt paused.
Doors closed.
People I depended on disappeared.
I questioned whether I had missed my moment.
But looking back, I realize God wasn’t delaying me—He was developing me.
He was teaching me discipline over motivation.
Faith over feelings.
Obedience over approval.
What felt like being stuck was actually preparation.
And when I finally stepped into the next chapter, I wasn’t just ready—I was rooted.
Becoming Requires Letting Go
Here’s the core truth you need to hear:
You can’t become who God designed you to be while clinging to who you used to be.
Becoming requires surrender.
Surrender of timelines.
Surrender of expectations.
Surrender of comparison.
God doesn’t need you to understand the entire journey—He just needs you to trust the next step.
This 30 day workbook guided me through the process of spiritually understanding how to become who God designed me to be.

How to Move Forward When You Feel Stuck
If you’re in a season where clarity feels distant, here are a few grounded steps forward:
1. Stay faithful in the small things
Consistency builds character before it builds results.
2. Change your environment
What you listen to, wear, read, and speak matters more than you realize.
3. Stop rushing the outcome
What God is building in you will outlast what you’re rushing toward.
4. Remind yourself daily who you’re becoming
Sometimes you need visual and verbal reminders of truth—not just motivation.
(This is why I created intentional reminders and tools that keep mindset and purpose front and center—because growth is lived daily, not occasionally.)
You Are Not Behind—You Are Becoming
If you take nothing else from this, remember this:
You are not late.
You are not forgotten.
You are not stuck forever.
You are becoming who God designed you to be.
And when you finally step into that version of yourself, you’ll realize every season—especially the uncomfortable ones—was necessary.
Trust the process.
Honor the season.
And keep becoming.
